Lauren Schmidt '19 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a high level, while being part of a program that helps me grow as a student, an athlete, and a person. I feel like I am a good fit as a Middle Blocker because of my “Volleyball IQ.” I am very competitive, so I love being involved in every play, whether it is blocking, hitting, or just trying to pull a blocker away from another hitter. I am 5’10” and reaching 9’5”. I am not the biggest middle, but I make up for it with my knowledge and passion. I love the quickness of my position, and that I am always moving. I always have a job, as well as everyone else on the team, whether on the court or on the bench. I have always been taught that the most successful team is the one, not only with talent, but the one with passion and that works as a team. I cannot wait to see the improvements that I make this season! I am overly excited about my next big step in my volleyball career!

I have plans to go to a college that will challenge me athletically, but also academically. I want to major in a degree that will lead to a successful life. I have always been a strong student while attending AP, Dual Credit, and Honors Classes. I am known for my consistency on and off the court. I always work hard and keep my grades up. I can’t wait to see what my next step is!
