Personal Statement
Since freshman year of high school, I knew I wanted to play collegiate volleyball. I have played many sports, but I am the most passionate about volleyball. For the last 4 years I have been working hard to be the player and person I am today. I showed up to every practice or conditioning I could or I would go to the gym by myself. I am not only a dedicated athlete but a student as well. When I get to college I want to get a degree and psychology and continue to get better at the sport I love. I am a utility player and can be put into any position. I have played libero/ds, outside/rightside hitter, and setter in the last 4 years. I am hard working and coachable. I love to get feedback on what I can do better. I ask questions when I am confused. But I am a fast learner and know all the offenses. I have been told by many coaches this year "You don't just play to win, you play because you love the sport". I am competitive and love to win but I know winning isn't everything. It's how you come out of a win or loss and what you can take away from it. As a student, I care a lot about my grades. I know the student part must come first. I have good time management and will do any extra credit given. I am taking 3 APs while managing school volleyball, club volleyball, and my social life. I still have managed to keep a 4.0 weighted GPA. I am a very bubbly person and I love to have fun but I know when to get serious. I am always smiling and I know how to laugh off a mistake. After college I would like to join the FBI and be a criminal psychologist. When I have goals I do everything I can to meet them. My main goal right now is to get recruited to play at the next level. I know I can meet this goal.
