Personal Statement
Hello, I'm Jazzy. I play as a libero at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok, Thailand. A little about me: I am half Australian half Thai, and the daughter of the athletic director, so I've been surrounded by multiple sports my entire life. Such as softball, football, basketball, swimming, and of course volleyball. I've been playing volleyball for nearly 5 years now. I am a class of 2027 and starting my path to hopefully become a collegiate volleyballer (what my teammate calls ourselves).
What I believe makes me stand out for a potential recruit are the big three C's. Commitment, Coachable, and Caring. My examples of being committed is never skipping practice, being the first to show up and on of the last few to leave. Coachable, being open-minded and allowing myself to make changes to improve my skills in volleyball, and wanting to be pushed by my coaches to improve myself not only for me and my team. And lastly caring, caring is not only about being respectful to players, coaches, or equipments, but it's also about creating a supportive environment, being inclusive, show empathy, and support personal and athletic growth with everyone. The three C's allows me to stand out on and off court. I am also very flexible with trying out a new position as this year during our school volleyball academy I tried out as a setter for a bit. Organization is one of my best skills which helped me with being able to balance my time with academics and sports allowing me to have a somewhat strong GPA.
Don't hesitate to reach out and contact me or my dad for any questions.
