Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball spontaneously at a local VC Blok Aut. I was 7 years old, and the more I played the more I fell in love with the sport. When I was 11 I was invited to play for the Pioneer team of Blok Aut, and when I turned 13 I was already playing for their Junior and Senior teams.
Three years ago I switched team and started playing for VC Kralj. Within three years we won a medal at every league we competed. I became a well known player, because of the success of my team and because of my game.
I always tried to do my best at school and I gave my all to balance among volleyball and school. Here, in Serbia, it's not possible for an athlete to incorporate both. If you want to play at a good level you don't have the time at all to focus on school, so if you want to have a good education you have to quit playing. And I'm not willing to give up neither volleyball or my education. I want to be able to get both education and volleyball on a great level. I am very determined to come to the States.
