Personal Statement
I am a 17-year-old Hungarian-American student-athlete from Hungary but I lived and I was born in the U.S. I'm a setter in my club BDSE, which is one of the best teams of the first league (NB1) where I play with adults. Moreover, I'm a consistent member of the U20 age group as well. I am proud to be a former member of the Youth Hungarian National Teams. I will graduate in 2024, and my goal is to earn a spot on a U.S. college team for the fall of 2024 or 2025 (-since I could take a gap year if it's needed). I am an explosive, technically and tactically gifted setter at the level I play and I have a high volleyball IQ as well as good court vision. I love competing, learning new things and I am eager to get better practice by practice. I'm a coachable player as well as a very vocal person on the court, since I think as a setter it's extremely important to talk to your teammates and to be a leader.
With my recent club (Delta RSE) we were bronze medalists in the U15 National Championship, where I was named the best player in our team. That was the year I got into the Hungarian Youth National Team. Since then I've been playing with adults in my club.
Off the court I'm very focused in the classroom too, I have a GPA of 4.85 (out of 5.0) and I'm named an excellent student every year. Last year I graduated in English (sophomore year) and I will graduate IT this year as well, so for my senior year I'll only have to do History, Maths and Hungarian.
