Personal Statement

I've been playing since I was eight years old, and winning the Best Setter U19 Award in Central America was one of the greatest achievements that could have happened to me because it was my first championship as a member of the Federation of Guatemala and represented the country of Guatemala. Following this fantastic performance, I received a sports scholarship at Colegio Decroly Americano to compete in AASCA, and thanks to great collaboration, we won the tournament as bi-champions. This has helped me grow as a person and an athlete, allowing me to become a better shipowner and compete at college level. 


I've discovered that teamwork, companionship, devotion, sacrifice, and leadership are critical components of achieving a competitive team and meeting stated goals. I've been looking for a curriculum that is a good fit for me, both ethically and academically. I believe I have not only the talent to compete on a college team, but also the skills to benefit your program.
