I am a Slovenian middle hitter and one of my biggest wishes is to be able to pursue both my academic and sports career. Even though I started playing volleyball quite late I learned and progressed a lot quickly. I was very motivated to get better so I put in a lot of hard work and it payed off as I am now a part of Slovenia's U19 National team. One of my biggest challenges however was being team captain this season for our U19 team. We were all very disappointed because 1 point cost us qualifying for the final eight in the country but I was still very proud of my team and this experience helped me grow as a person as well as improve my leadership skills.
Apart from my interest in volleyball I am also passionate about academics. I love reading which broadens my worldview, and I also love to write. My favourite subject however is chemistry and I want to pursue a career in a chemistry related medical field such as pharmacy. I am also a part of the IB program which has helped me to develop critical thinking skills, broader perspective on global issues and great time management skills. One of the biggest benefits of the program was CAS especially service where I participated in various community service activities which helped me mature as an individual. I want to excel both academically and athletically so I am looking for a program that can help me achieve my goals. I believe that my work ethic and dedication will be a great benefit for your program.
