Personal Statement
I've been playing volleyball since I was 9 years old so I am very used to a team environment. I understand the dynamics of a team and more importantly what makes a team really a team. I am a harmonious and respectful person, meaning I have very good relationships with all my teammates and coaches. On top of that, I am a very coachable athlete, I always strive to improve and what my coach tells me is very important. Throughout my volleyball carrier, I've experienced being on the bench to being the team captain. In that sense, I understand everyone on a team. This, I believe, is one of my best qualities.
Besides my athletic carrier I have always been a great student. Academically, I love learning and value what I learn. I've always wanted improve my grades and qualities a student. In Turkey, we have a nationwide high school entrance exam that you can only take once in eighth grade. In my year 1.5 million students from all around Turkey took this exam. I scored full points along with 180 other students. I've always valued my education and education will continue to be one of my greatest desires.
I aim to be a good teammate. That is what's important on a team, at all levels. I know I can make a positive difference in the dynamics of a team.
