Personal Statement
I was born on 11.4.2005 in Postojna Slovenia. My parents are Tatjana Drašler and Rok Gorjup .I have a younger sister named Uma.I enjoy different kinds of sport activities. At first I played badminton for three years then started training volleyball at age 9. In my free time I like to go outside and hang out with friends or go to fitness and watch some good movies or series after in the evening. My favourite thing to do is travelling around the world and getting to know other nationalities and their specialties. I'm a very ambitious and hard working person. I love meeting new people, so I think that I won’t have troubles with fitting in with your team and school.
I would like to continue my academic and sport career in ZDA mostly because I like the way sport is combined with academics there and how the training philosophy is in state volleyball teams. The way people support each other inspires me to be the best version of myself on a personal, educational and volleyball level. I think under coach support, the USA is the best decision to make in hopes to level up my volleyball knowledge and gain a University degree at the same time.
I see that as a big challenge and opportunity. I’m really looking forward to it.
