Hello, my name is Eleanor Glowrey. I am 16 years old and in year 12. I am from England and am currently a student at Putney High School. Within my first year of playing I joined the U17 volleyball England squad and am currently playing for their U19 team as well as my club, Richmond volleyball. I’ve played both county and country-level, with my team being three-time national championships as well as my borough (Wandsworth) and county (London) being reigning champions. Currently, I won U16 and U18 Nationals with my club (Richmond Volleyball) without dropping a set.
I am also selected to compete for the England team. With opportunities to travel abroad being limited due to covid, last year, the only competition we competed in was all nations, for which I played Libro and outside. However this year I was selected among 12 others in the U19 squad to travel to Italy for the Cornaccia cup.
I have experience coaching both indoor and beach volleyball for a range of ages and love to be able to share my love of the sport towards all. II have achieved my coaching level 1 and am currently coaching juniors at my club
I am a very competitive person that works hard and puts 100% into everything I do. I believe teamwork is essential, as well as team spirit. I am highly passionate, and it is my dream to be able to play volleyball in the US.

- AwardsIn my GCSEs I have achieved grade 9s in English Language, English Literature, Biology, and History. I received grade 8s in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Art and French and a grade 7 in Classics. A-levels: Art, Biology, Psychology and an EPQ.
- ActivitiesI've helped out at my junior school’s Arts Club as well as doing work experience for Putney School of Art and Design. I worked with many different people of varying backrounds and truly got a glimpse of what art meant to each of them. I helped out in many departments such as Finance, admin, teaching and sales. I was voted by my classmates to be Peer Mediator for three consecutive years from Year 7 to Year 10. I have done training and workshops to help prevent bullying within schools as well as learnt valuable skills in communication and helping others. I also attended anti-bullying training held by the charity, The Diana Award. I was environmental rep for three years and have made several contributions to help my school become greener. I have written an article about these changes which was published in my school magazine. I have achieved my LAMDA Grade 5 . In July 2021, I successfully completed my DofE Bronze Award. I play both the guitar and saxophone and am currently working towards my Jazz Grade 5.
