Personal Statement

My name is Lorena and I am a high school student in Madrid, Spain. At my school, I am a student who has played volleyball for the longest time, having been part of the school volleyball team since 4th grade. I have recently also started playing club volleyball with Club Deportivo Vallecas. Volleyball practices and games have shaped the person I am today, teaching me the importance of perseverance, collaboration and character.

I am a very positive player, always ready to learn from my coach and teammates. With every practice, I leave behind any excuses and strive to improve through every play. My dream is to be able to grow both academically and arhletically at an American university. In college, I hope to not only learn from coaches and players, but also help my team succeed as much as I can.
