My name is Lorena and I am a high school student in Madrid, Spain. At my school, I am a student who has played volleyball for the longest time, having been part of the school volleyball team since 4th grade. I have recently also started playing club volleyball with Club Deportivo Vallecas. Volleyball practices and games have shaped the person I am today, teaching me the importance of perseverance, collaboration and character.
I am a very positive player, always ready to learn from my coach and teammates. With every practice, I leave behind any excuses and strive to improve through every play. My dream is to be able to grow both academically and arhletically at an American university. In college, I hope to not only learn from coaches and players, but also help my team succeed as much as I can.

- ActivitiesClass President: I was voted by my classmates to be the main representative of the class. I act as a bridge between the students and faculty. Volunteer at Children's Hospital: I spend afternoons with children at a local hospital. I plan activities for them, such as plays or karaoke. Tutoring underprivileged children: I help 7-11 year old kids at a poor neighbourhood near my home with their school work. Learning French in France: During my summer, I traveled to Nice where I lived with a French family. I did this in order to improve my French speaking skills. Learning English in Ireland: During my summer, I traveled to Cork where I lived with an Irish family. I did this in order to improve my English speaking skills. Nike Volleybal Camp: I spend two weeks perfecting my volleyball skills in Curry College with professional players Class mediator: I was voted by my class to be their mediator. As mediator, I solve disputes between students and make sure there is a healthy environment in class.
