Personal Statement
I'm Retaj, a 17-year-old international student looking to be recruited by universities in the USA to be a part of their team. I started playing volleyball when I was 4 in my hometown in Egypt. What distinguishes me from everyone else is my versatility, experience, and resilience; seeing as I practiced in every position on the court, except for the setter position, I believe that made me very useful and indispensable for all the teams I played for, another thing that not everyone can achieve is that at 17 years old I accumulated 13 years of experience on and off the court making me e a very challenging candidate, and although all these traits are good, I believe that what got me to where I am in my career right now is my resilience, the first coach I ever had taught me to keep pushing no matter what, and since then I kept pushing, practicing almost every day of the week and improving my skills to perfection. I hope that all the coaches who view my profile will see something special in me that deserves to flourish on their team. I'm also a lovely teammate and team leader seeing as I was captain/ co-captain for most of my career
