Personal Statement
I am a Middle Hitter from Santiago, Chile. I have 6 years of volleyball experience and the last 3 at the Chilean National Team. On december 2014 I graduated from Santiago College, one of the few American High Schools in my country. I understand that recruiting starts before senior year, but I really want to study and compete in the United States.
Since I started playing at the National Team, I have been balancing high performance volleyball with an academical challenging environment, taking math and economic superior classes at the IB program. My routine near to an important championship is training 6.30 am, taking a 1 hour bus to college and going back to the Olympic Training Center between 6 and 9 pm. After three years of doing and traveling around America and Europe, I have become a self demanding and independent girl, constantly searching for new goals.
I have been admitted to Universidad de Chile to business and management and I'm looking to be transferred to the States. I love everything that I have here in Chile, but I have taken the full decision to search opportunities in the US. I really want to expand my volleyball in a great university league and study business and management. My personal project is to keep improving in the sport and start building the fundamentals for a professional career as a dedicated and committed economist.
