Personal Statement
Hello, college coach! You're looking at the right place! Welcome to my profile.
I got into my High School Varsity team when I was in the 8th grade, playing with teammates that were far beyond my age. Regardless, I had a lot of playing time throughout the season and spoke out with my teammates with no fear. I've been a starter since the 9th grade and have unbelievably improved every single year more and more. I've been a noticeable leader ever since I placed foot on court in my first practice back in 2014. I've never been afraid to try new things and implement advices my coach gives me.
In November of 2017, multiple countries from the Caribbean and South America travelled to the Dominican Republic, where I live, to play in an annual tournament my school has participated in since the late 1990's. My school had never, in the history of that tournament, won 1st place, and I can proudly say this year we were champions. I like to take pride in this accomplishment as I was named MVP of the tournament and believe I had a great influence in the outcome.
Most athletes will say they are hard working and determined, because we probably all are, or else we wouldn't be here, however, I believe my attitude in practice, games, and even outside of the court is something that coaches should feel lucky to find! Thank you for viewing my profile!
