Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Korina Topić and I come from Zagreb, Croatia. I play volleyball since 2012. I've been an all-time member of Croatian National Team since summer 2018.
Since I started playing volleyball in a small club in Zagreb to becoming a player for the best club in Croatia, I always enjoyed and loved playing volleyball and it was always one of the most important things in my life. While I was getting older I started to think about attending college in USA because there I can get great education and play amazing volleyball. It was always a dream of mine.
Besides volleyball I've always been great in school. In middle school and now in high school I have always been one of the top students in school. I know what I wont and know what I'm good at, so I always knew where to put my focus on and what to do. I enjoy and work hard for the things that I want and interest me. I love educating myself and learning more everyday. Education was always one of my top priorities.
In the last couple of years in my volleyball life I've been really successful. When I play volleyball I'm very focused, determined and persistent. I was a part of a lot of tournaments and championships. I won two National Championships. In the first one I got an award for the best middle blocker and in second one I was a team captain. I've won a lot of tournaments and was awarded with awards like the best attacker and the best player. One of my best achievements was winning second place in qualifications for U17 Volleyball European Championship 2020 (MEVZA). One of the best things in volleyball for me is being in a team. I enjoy playing in a team because they encourage me and I encourage them.
Managing being a high level athlete and being good in school is very hard for me but I'm very motivated and I love improving myself.
I love volleyball and I love education and it's been my dream for a long time to attend college in USA and play volleyball.
