Personal Statement

Hi, I'm Jasmine Shields. I am a high school junior playing my third year on the varsity team. I play club volleyball on a national team with River City Juniors in Omaha, NE. This year we finished in 5th place at the AAU Nationals tournament in the Spirit Division.

My goal is to attend an academic institution where I can earn a degree while playing the sport I love. As an honors student, I pride myself as being responsible, hard-working and dedicated. At my high school, I was selected to be one of 25 students to participate in the Early College Academy program. I am currently duel-enrolled at high school and Iowa Western Community College. I am on track to graduate with an associates degree and high school diploma in 2026.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
