Ruth Jahn '20 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to become the best possible person and teammate that I can be. I am a good candidate for your team because I always strive to be the best I can possibly be and go as hard as I can every day. I am a very good team leader and an encouraging teammate and have been recognized in this way in my freshman and sophomore years. I always strive to make myself better, but more importantly  my teammates as well. I've stayed after to help them get better too. I've spent countless extra hours playing club volleyball and attending 2-3 practices a week (over an hour from our home) in the off season, at the same time keeping my grades up as well. I work very hard in the classroom because my education is very important and I am active in student council leadership in my school. Being a member of a collegiate volleyball team will help me to succeed in volleyball, in my work life and in my life after college.
