Sara Bjerke '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sara Bjerke, and I am a 6’0” hitter from the class of 2024.
I'm known for my relentless effort and  positivity and support for my teammates. One of my most noticeable and memorable attributes is my encouragement and optimism on and off the court. Volleyball brings me so much joy, it’s an escape from hardships, no matter the circumstance. My life could be in shambles, but when I enter the gym none of that matters. My passion for the game drives me to give 100% on every play. A ball could be shanked into the crowd, and I will chase after it until no court is left. I thrive on being pushed within a positive environment. I am looking to transfer to a school with a higher competitive level than I am currently playing at so I can get that drive I need.

• Played volleyball since age 8
• Versatile player with experience as a Middle Blocker, Right Side, and Outside Hitter (most experience in Middle)
• Most Improved Player & Most Positive Team Member (team awards)
• Currently competing at Piedmont University
