My name is Taylor Nicole Pierce. I live with both of my parents and my older sister. We live in Basehor, Kansas which is a small rural neighbor city to Kansas City Kansas. I am currently a senior at Basehor Linwood High School. I will graduate in the spring of 2020.
I believe I would fit in with any team. I am that person that gets along with everyone. I do have boundaries but I always want to give everyone a chance. In having this perspective, I have been able to be 2 things in life. These 2 things are both a leader and a follower. I am always willing to learn from others and never pass up the opportunity to teach someone else what I know.
As far as college goes, I want to be a member of a college volleyball team at any position needed that I can successfully contribute to. I have played all positions on the court with the exception of middle. I have primarily been a setter through club volleyball while also playing outside and right side hitter. My high school career is now 4 seasons old. As a freshmen, I made the varsity team as a right side hitter, I was then moved to outside and finished the season as a DS. My sophomore year I was a starting setter. My junior year has me at the starting setter position again and practicing at outside hitter as well.
I do want to be successful as a college volleyball player and I am interested in studying Criminal Justice as my major.
I have played sports since I was in 1st grade. As I reached 2nd grade, I found that I really enjoyed volleyball and softball the most. By 5th grade, I focused on these 2 sports mainly. After 6th grade, I gave up softball and turned my focus entirely to volleyball and have played and trained almost year around since then.
I also volunteer coach girls volleyball at both the 4th & 5th grade level w one of my high school coaches.
I appreciate the opportunity to express myself and "talk about me" here for you to read about me.
Sincerely,
Taylor Pierce
