I have played volleyball since I was 11, and I didn't become extremely interested until I played varsity as a freshman. I have learned that I am very hard on myself when I make a bad move, but that helps me improve because I become dedicated to fixing that mistake. I am who I am because right after I started playing volleyball, I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes and this has given me a motivation to play harder and to become a influence on younger players. For high school, my goal is to graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.95+. I have came across many obstacles during volleyball which have led me to become a better player. Some of these are having to work against competition to be a varsity player, putting in extra time every day to get better, and figuring out a good system to manage blood sugars on game days and during the matches. Some unique characteristics about me is that I have very good control when passing outside my body, I have a good vertical for being a smaller player, and I am very agile in the front and back row.
