Personal Statement

My name is Janelle Green. I am a setter at Blue Valley North High School (6A), 2021 State Champions. My club volleyball team is KC Power 16-1. I’m very passionate about volleyball and love working to improve my game. In the spring, I also run track for my high school and I went to state in the high jump. School is important to me, I currently have a 3.9 GPA. I like to push myself in the classroom and I’m enrolled in honors ELA and Spanish 4.0. My academic achievements were honored with an Academic Letter and earning a place on the Principal’s Honor Roll. In addition to sports and school, I enjoy playing guitar, water sports, and spending time doing community service with the National Charity League.

I am proud of the athletic accomplishments I have achieved so far. For the class of 2024, I was named to the top 150 players in the nation by PrepVolleyball and also ranked the #1 setter in KS by Prep Dig. In 2021 my club team, KC Power 15-1, came in 5th in the Open division at Nationals. At the end of the tournament, I was selected to the All-Tournament Team. I was invited to participate in the Under Armour Volleyball All America Selection Camp that took place after Nationals in Las Vegas and I loved competing with the top girls in the nation. I was also invited to the 18U USAVB NTDP, unfortunately I couldn’t attend because of a high school volleyball conflict.

During my recently completed high school volleyball season, I received the Janice VanGorp “Fearless Spirit” Award. This award was voted on by my high school teammates and it represents my passion for volleyball, positive attitude, respectfulness, competitiveness, and leadership on and off the court. After winning the State Championship I was awarded 1st Team All-Conference, named to the Class 6A State All-Tournament Team, and earned 2nd Team All-State.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
