Hello! My name is Madison Dozier, I’m 16 years old, and currently a junior at Bishop Brossart High School in Alexandria, Kentucky. I have played school and club volleyball for 6 seasons, starting in the 6th grade. My primary positions are OH/OPP but at times I’ve played MH also.
The 2025 club season will be my second with Northern Kentucky Junior Volleyball (NKJV). This club season, I was asked to move up to 17u, playing on the 17 Black team, skipping over 16u. Prior to joining NKJV, I played two club seasons at Crush Volleyball Club (CVC), both in 14u on the 14 Blue team and two seasons at Northern Kentucky Volleyball Club (NKYVC), 12u on the 12 White team and 13u on the 13 Red team.
In 6th grade, I wanted to try something different, so tried out for volleyball and it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I instantly fell in love with the sport and wanted to learn more and more. Volleyball has taught me how to be a teammate, how to win gracefully, how to lose with the highest level of sportsmanship, and how to be a leader both on and off the court. My teammates recognized me by voting me as a team captain for the 2023 school season and the 2025 club season. Additionally, I was recognized for leadership by being awarded the Mustang Award for Leadership and Teamwork.
Academically, I have always had a 4.0 GPA or higher. My weighted GPA is 4.42. I‘m a member of the National Honors Society (NHS), National Spanish Honor Society, Drug Free Clubs of America (DFCA), National History Club, BETA Club, and participate in the Kindness Club. I took high school classes while still in middle school and continue to take honors classes. This school year, I’m also taking a Dual Credit US History course through Thomas More University.
Going to college has never been a doubt for me. I want to be a Physical Therapist so majoring in either Biology, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science is my intention. In addition to achieving my intended major, I want to continue my volleyball career, which provides even more motivation for me to improve and earn my way on a team to continue my dream!
