Hi, my name is Maggie Quinn and I am a junior at Meade County High School. I have played volleyball since the 7th grade and started playing club in the 8th grade at Elizabethtown Volleyball Academy (EVA). I am a setter and have been my whole volleyball career. I cannot explain how much volleyball means to me. It has always been there for me, is my passion, a big part of who I am, and where I thrive. My favorite moment in volleyball was winning the 2021 District Championship against our biggest rivalry. That moment made me realize how much volleyball meant to me and that it was so much bigger than just a game. Volleyball has given me lifelong friendships and experiences I would not trade for anything. It has also taught me how important team work and positivity is. I want to play volleyball at the collegiate level because I could never imagine my life without volleyball, want to make life-long friendships with new teammates, and play at a higher, more competitive level. I would be a perfect fit for your team because I am coachable, positive, energetic, hard working, resilient, a team player, good under pressure, a leader, trustworthy, flexible, scrappy, competitive, am always working to improve my skills in every position. I am constantly setting goals to become a better setter and all around player. What makes me most valuable though, is that I am always calm while playing: I never act out on (or off!) the court and stay calm when matches get tough. I am someone my teammates can look at and feel at ease and can recieve positive, encouraging feedback from. Not only do I want a college fit for me athletically, but also academically. I hope to major in elementary education to pursue my dream career of being a kindergarten teacher. I realize that being a college student-athlete is tough, but as a current high school student-athlete balancing club and school volleyball, I have done excellent in matches and in school. I am very good at time management and getting my work done. I have had all A's my entire life and have achieved higher than a 4.0 GPA in every year of high school. All in all, I would be nowhere without God. I always want to glorify Him and be a light when I play volleyball. Thank you for your time and have a great day!
