I just finished my 8th year of club volleyball. I have played every position. I started as a hitter when I was nine years old. Thereafter, I played all the way around the court. At age 13, I transitioned into a setting role. During the 2018-19 club season, I was moved to a defensive specialist, which is my preferred position. I played as libero and DS on my 2019-20 club team. I am always working on my passing and setting to improve those areas of my game.
All through grade school I was team captain of my school teams. I was team captain of my freshman team and of the JV team my junior year. I was moved to varsity for the 2019 district tournament. I received coaches awards my freshman and junior years, including the versatility award and most valuable teammate award. I am a strong and supportive teammate. I am very coachable and always strive to do my best. I give volleyball my full effort. I am a team player and a leader. I can be hard on myself and emotionally invested in my game. But, I always maintain a positive attitude. I love to see everyone on my team succeed! I personally like to be pushed and put out of my element so that I can continue to improve my game. My goal as a player is to continue to play competitive volleyball at the collegiate level.
In my college search, I am willing to go anywhere that would be the best fit for me both academically and athletically. I want to major in civil engineering and I am interested in environmental sciences as well as atmospheric sciences/meteorology.
