Olivia Oakley '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches!  My name is Olivia Oakley and I’m your girl!   My college goals and aspirations are to attend a reputable college with quality  people, athletics, and academics.   I’d like to major in animal science or psychology. I began playing volleyball in sixth grade and made our varsity team as an eighth grader.  I’m currently a Freshmen at University Heights Academy and play for our JV and Varsity teams.   Our local Sports Edge names me as one of the leading players in all of our games.  I excel in aces, kills, and my ability to get any ball that comes to me.   My main position is outside hitter but I also enjoy being a back role player and am leaning more towards playing as DS or a Libero i’m college.  I’m  a persistent and passionate player in any position I’m in.   Another strength on the court is my sense of humor and the ability to make others relax a little,  when games aren’t going as we hoped.   I practice daily, keep my grades up, volunteer in our community, work out at our local YMCA, play travel volleyball, and enjoy many other things in life.  I’m basically a straight A student other than the occasional “B” in math. I may only be 5’6” but I promise you I get the job done any where I am on the court.   I ‘m mentally strong and use my errors and coaching suggestions  to push myself to grow and do better.   Playing collegiate volleyball is my dream.  I’ll give 1000 percent at every practice and every game!
