I am a motivated and goal oriented student athlete. With my competitive spirit, I crave a good challenge and strive to be a leader on and off the court.
I am entering my 14th year of volleyball. I fell in love with the game at the age of 4. Although I played many other sports such as softball, track and field, and basketball, volleyball has always been the sport that kept my interest.
Since grade school, I have played multiple positions. I have lead my teams as captain. Since the 6th grade, I have been on the JV and Varsity teams. My freshman and sophomore year, I was captain of the Freshman and JV teams. I have earned multiple coachs’ awards such as MVP, defensive player of the year, and team hustle Awards. I was also named Allstate Acedemic team. I have been playing club for 5 years and now entering my 6th season.
The positions that have sparked interest to me is DS/libero. However, my freshman year, my coaches noticed my “smooth hands” and trained me for the setter position. I quickly became the starting setter on my high school teams. I picked up on it very quickly and started playing this position on my club teams. With my love of all things defense, this has helped me develop a unique setting style of play, especially as a back row setter. My hustle and devotion of winning, helps me push my teammates to succeed.
My leadership roles have extended beyond sports. I am on the youth advisory board for Louisville Catholic Archdioceses. I am a youth group leader at Ascension Catholic Parish. I am member of Ballard Sources of Strength. I also am an alto in the Ballard Concert, Advanced Chamber and Madrigal choirs.
As a college student, I hope to further my education and volleyball career. My interests are pre-medicine or sports medicine. My goal is to be a surgeon in either pulmonary, cardio thoracic, or orthopedics.
I hope to find the right fit academically, a great volleyball team to share my talents, and an atmosphere that will push me to new heights.
