My name is Cassidy Wilburn and I attend DuPont Manual High School. At Manual, I am a student in the High School University Academic Program which offers a wide range of college preparatory offerings in all academic areas. I currently have a 4.0 academic standing. I am very interested in pursuing admission to a college that offers both the opportunity to receive training in the biological sciences or medical field and one that offers an excellent collegiate level volleyball program. I have played volleyball at the Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA) for the past 6 years. I feel that I am a very versatile player as I have played both the positions of outside hitter and defensive specialist. In July, 2022, I will begin practice for my third year on the DuPont Manual High School volleyball team. For the past 5 years, in addition to team practices throughout the year, I have also taken two lessons per week in an effort to continuously improve and grow my volleyball skills. I love the game of volleyball and am dedicated to giving 100% effort in every game or practice! Through my involvement with volleyball, I believe I have learned self-discipline, dedication, and the concept of playing as a team. At the end of the 2021-2022 high school volleyball season, I received an award called the "Ram Fam Award". This award was given for outstanding team spirit, having a consistently positive attitude, bringing energy to the court, and encouraging my teammates to play as a team.
