Sydney Criss '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Sydney Elizabeth Criss.  I attend Belaire High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana I am currently a 3 sport letterman soon to be a 4 year one.  Volleyball, basketball, and track and field with volleyball being my favorite.  I have been exposed to team sports most of my life.  I am the type of player who look at key players on my team as well as my opponent.  I observe them and see what I can gain from them and then I try to develop my own style of play that will give me the edge to defeat my competitor.  I love to win but I also know how to embrace a lost and move on to the next game.  I shake it off and start all over again.  I am a thinker, and I let my actions speak for me. 

I am Captain of my Volleyball team.  When one of the 9th or 10th graders make a mistake I remind them I was once where they are now and one day they will be where I am now.  It feels good if I must say so myself.  My grades currently qualify me for a scholarship under NCAA guidelines.  I have also during my career made the honor roll.  With a personal goal of always improving in my classes,  and to be a better teammate.

There is nothing I would love more than to play Volleyball on the collegiate level.  I want to feel the next level of competition after high school.  I would like to become a volleyball Olympian.  I play the game in the mind set I am representing the USA.
