2014 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Vaterra Calais. I am a senior at Catholic High School in New Iberia, Louisiana. I have been playing volleyball since the fifth grade. I have been on the varsity volleyball team since my freshman year in high school. I was named All District and Best of the Teche both my Sophomore and Junior year. Also, my sophomore and junior year, I was Captain for the varsity volleyball team. My junior year I was named Most Valuable Player for the volleyball season. I have been playing travel volleyball for the past 4 years. I am currently a part of the Cajun Elite Travel Volleyball Team.
I believe that anyone can make their dreams come true as long as you give 100% on and off the court. Of course school should always come first and I will always commit to my studies. College volleyball is something I have always wanted to be apart of since I first started playing volleyball in the fifth grade. I can definitely see myself playing at a collegiate level.
