"I am a 5’6” Libero from Newton, MA. I started as the Libero on the Newton North High School Varsity team for the past two seasons and played backup DS during my Sophomore season. This past season I was a Team Captain and I was selected as an All Bay State Conference Player and All State Player. I also received the Sportsmanship Award this past season from my Coach and School Athletic Department. My Sophomore year we were Massachusetts State Champions. My Junior year we made it to the State semifinals and this past season we made it to the State championship game. I am currently playing in my fouth season with SMASH Volleyball where I am the Libero on the Top 18s team. This season we will be playing all over New England, Denver, Washington DC, and Atlanta.
My passion is helping people. During my Sophomore and Junior years I participated in the Mass Nine for the Ninth Program where a group of students spent one week in the Ninth Ward in New Orleans renovating a home for a family in need. This experience impacted me greatly and I was so happy to have this opportunity to help someone. Last summer I worked as a youth counsellor at the Newton YMCA.
I am looking forward to college and I really hope to continue playing volleyball. Although academics will be my priority, I really hope to be able to play for a college team. I know that I can make a positive impact for any team that I am fortunate enough to be on.
