I bring many positive characteristics to my high school and club team. I am a strong server, passer, setter, as well as quick on my feet and agressive with every ball that comes my way. Considering that volleyball is not an individual sport, I am always striving to be the best teammate I can, whether it is communicating with my hitters on what they prefer out of my sets or making sure my setter is comfortable with my passes.
I think I would be an extraordinary candidate for a college team because I bring many strong skills like telling my hitters where to hit and carrying a gleeful spirit while being on and off the court! I also am willing to do whatever it takes to make our team better and help us in any way, shape, or form. Earning the title of "All League" and "All Region" for the 2015 and 2016 high school season has been a great honor and accomplishment.
Personally, I am very outgoing and comical. But when it's time to get serious, I am always ready to take the challenge head on. I think I differ from others because of my positive attitude, always being extremely loud on the court, and my effort to always make my team better. The last attribute that I think is the most important would be my effort outside of just playing volleyball. I take many group and private lessons, go to many camps, and I am always doing whatever I can to make myself the strongest volleyball player possible.
Now a senior, I have been a part of Student Council, Anti-Bullying club, ASD Links Program, Peace club, and deemed "Most Spirited". With all this, I also maintain good grades. I truly believe playing volleyball in college will teach me lessons that I will need to have for life. I just cannot get enough of volleyball!
