I just finished my first college season at Walsh University, which unfortunately didn’t go as expected. I strive to get better as an athlete and student. I am looking for a school that will help me to grow as an athlete and a student to help me become the best person I can become. I am currently majoring in biology on the pre-professional track. I would like to continue forward with that in hopes to go to medical or dental school to pursue becoming a dentist or psychiatrist.
When I was seven years old, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It was - and often still is - physical, mentally and emotionally challenging but it does not ever hold me back. Because of my Crohn's, I became part of a program called Team Impact and was assigned to the Oakland University Volleyball team. As an eight year old, I went to all their games and they soon became a very important part of my life. They were like my big sisters in many ways and I grew to love the sport.
I tried out for my first club volleyball team when I was 10 years old. My passion grew the more I played. Now volleyball has become a part of my life and I can't imagine not playing. I played for the Anderson Middle School Volleyball Team and the Berkley High School Junior Varsity Team, and was the starting setter as a Freshman on the Junior Varsity Team. I made the Varsity Team as a sophomore and was a utility player. My junior year on High School Varsity I was 1 of the starting setters playing a 6:2 rotation. I played at a National level for 4 years. I most played on Team Detroits 18-1 where I was the starting setter for my last season of club. I formerly played for Unified Volleyball Club’s 17-1 national team as their only setter playing a 5:1. I was a setter in 2019 for the 14U National Team, the 3's team and then moved to DS due to injuries on my team. For the 2020 season on the 15 Elite East team I was a staring setter/right side hitter. I was not able to gather stats due to the season being cut short due to Covid. For the 2021 Season I was on the Legacy 16 Elite East Team where I was the starting setter and captain of my team.
