Sophia Bachman '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal since I was a little girl has always been to play volleyball at a collegiate level.  In the next few years I intent on working at becoming a confident leader and work on being a smarter player .

  I am a Midwest farmer’s daughter.  I come from a working class family who’s parents have always worked 2-3 jobs to provide better for their daughters.  They have taught us that if you want something bad enough you outwork them all and MAKE it happen.   I have spent countless nights in a cold barn pulling babies, wash up, go to school then volleyball practice.   Working is what our family does.   I may not always have the fanciest clothes, or be the best player at times but I will outwork almost everyone and will never ask my teammate to do something that I myself wouldn’t do.  I think another skill of mine is the ability to get along with most everyone which is huge in setting. I was so proud to have been voted as the team Captain this year as a Junior (which does not usually happen).   and I’m proud to say my team just won districts.  recently.  I just found out that I was awarded All conference first team!    I would love to talk to you!
