Skyler Leach '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since I was in middle school at 11 years of age. I immediately fell in love with the sport.  I come from an athletic family so I had already participated in a lot of sports including team basketball, soccer, and dance but volleyball was new and different, and it changed my whole future.  

My club volleyball experience began in 7th grade. I have always excelled both as a hitter and defensively, and I continually strive to be better at every aspect of the game.  I have always been utilized as an outside hitter that plays all around. I have been praised for my fine defensive skills and was even chosen to libero at matches where it was needed. I absolutely love the fast pace of the game and the teamwork involved. Currently, I am a captain for my club team, and my goal is to always lead by example.  I encourage my teammates and aim to keep the team morale at a high. I have completed my fourth year of club volleyball and on to my third year of high school varsity volleyball as a junior.  My goal is to continue my volleyball career in college and continue to prove myself in a sport that demands discipline, swiftness, strength and determination.
