Braelynn Talmadge '28 Recruiting Profile

I'm very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue at a higher level, on the court I am an excellent team player who understand that each person plays their own particular role, but playing together as a team can determine a win or loss. I am normally an outside hitter but I have also play right side and middle for my team. I get better by playing on club teams, going to camps, trying my best in practice and doing stuff at home, so I can play multiple position on the court. I know that mental toughness and court smarts are just as important as the physical aspects of the game, I have learned this through experience and training. I always try to make sure my teammates and I have a positive mindset and don’t get in their heads. When I make a mistake on the court I am very eager to get the next ball so I can fix my mistake.

I am not entirely sure what I want to do academically in college but I may want to do business or accounting to help out my family's business, I also really want to coach volleyball when I get older and am out of college. Coaching has been on my mind for a while now, my dad is a basketball coach and watching him has inspired me. I have straight A's and know that academics will be just as important as volleyball.
