My name is Talia Edmonds and I attend Kalamazoo Central High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Along with volleyball, I play basketball and softball as well. My freshman year I made varsity in all three. Though I enjoy basketball and softball, volleyball has always been my first love. I love every aspect of the game but defense has and will forever be my favorite. I take pride in being able to make “wow” plays. The plays where everybody in the gym thinks the ball isn’t playable, and somehow, I chase it down and get it up. Since I was young, I’ve always been a competitor. It started with martial arts, and then wrestling, and even tackle football. No matter the sport, I loved to compete and I hated to lose.
Through sports, I have picked up on important qualities who have made me who I am today. I would consider myself a good leader and my teams #1 cheerleader. I always try to be the loudest and most excited player in the gym because I know energy is very important in the game of volleyball. My number one goal for some years now has been to play volleyball at the next level and no matter where I end up, I will always work hard because I love the game.
