Sydney Smith '20 Recruiting Profile

I love to be a leader on and off the court and I try to bring out the best in others.  I am very driven.  Coaches praise my high volleyball IQ by reading the court very well.  I’m crafty and my game matures each year.  For example, not letting a poor front row performance affect my back row skills or vice versa.   And staying mentally focused each point. I continue to work on my daily growth, both personally and athletically.  I strength train, eat well, carry a 3.9 GPA, and play on a 17-1 national team.  I accomplished a personal goal this high school season by contributing to the 2018 Division 1 Michigan State Volleyball Championship in Battle Creek.   My current goal is to be recruited by a school that fulfills my athletic and academic goals.  Hoping for the perfect fit for both the school and myself.
