Future College Coach
I live to play volleyball!! Since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of playing for a Big Ten or for a College Volleyball Team. I have just turned 16 years old and will be graduating in 2015, so I am over a year ahead in school which has been a challenge, but has made me appreciate what I have that much more.
Volleyball has played a huge part in my life and I cannot imagine a life without it in the future. I love to set and I work very hard to perfect my craft every day. I will continue to do so. I have been training as a setter since I was 10.
I have coaches who have been very supportive of my efforts to get better and I thank them for their patience and for sharing their knowledge. I have valued every minute with them. Since I am very competitive, I am always trying to find ways to set, serve, hit and play defense to help my teams. I am also always trying to learn new strategy to give my team an advantage.
I believe that every time I am on the floor, I am always giving 200%. I am far from perfect and while I am striving for perfection and I am hard on myself a great deal, I am always there for my team and I always know I can do better for myself and for them.
I hope that you will come to watch me play, but I have many video clips also for your review in my profile. My family has not had much money in the past few years, so that has kept me from doing some of the things I would like to do and kept me from playing National travel every year. I have played National level this year but mainly I have played State and Select level teams, I have played up to make up for not being able to afford National level some years. My Mom has had times where she has traded her own coaching so that I could keep playing. She sees in me what I hope you will see also.
My idol is Lindsey Berg and if I can have a volleyball career close to hers I will be very happy.
Thank you for your time. I hope that I am a match for the needs of your team.
I am playing this year for Team Detroit Volleyball as the starting Setter for the 18U-2 National team and will be playing in tournaments in Chicago, Fort Wayne, Louisville, Indianapolis MEQ and Michigan MJVBA/AAU tournaments throughout this club season. My team is made up of mainly 18 year olds, and since they will be graduating we will not be attending Nationals this year. I will be at the Grand Rapids Michigan Combine on 5/30 and will sub for our other National teams.
Thank you for reviewing my profile. Please feel free to contact myself or my mother if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Emily Rose Fradette
