My name is Emma. I am currently 16 years old and attend Notre Dame Preparatory in Pontiac, Michigan. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing sports, going to the movies, and shopping among other things. I grew up playing tennis and softball and then made the switch to volleyball as a sixth grader. I continue to play tennis, and softball (schedule permitting) but volleyball is my favorite sport. During the summers, I play sand volleyball and LOVE it! I currently hold a 3.7 GPA. My favorite subjects are English, Spanish and Earth Science.
I have been fortunate enough to have played on some very successful volleyball teams. My sophmore year (2013), my high school team won the Catholic League A/B Championships and the Class B State Championships! This year we finished second in the Catholic League Championships and went to Final Four at the State Championships again! I was honored with All State First Team this year in addition to All Country First Team, All Region, and All Catholic.
Our Legacy 16-1 team last season had some great success! We won the 16 Open division of SPVB President's Cup in Chicago, WON 16 Open Division at the MidEast Qualifier this March (2014) and WON the 16 Open division at Big South Qualifier in Atlanta (April 2014). We took second at Volleyfest, 13th at AAUs and 17th at JOs in Minneapolis. Some honors I received this year for club volleyball included being voted to PrepVolleyball's Gym Dandy list and High Honorable Mention on PrepVolleyball's Soph79 list. I will be playing on the 17 Elite (17-1) team at Legacy Volleyball Club.
I view myself as a leader not only in the classroom, but on the court as well. I have a lot of vocal energy and a good attitude. I know that the members of my teams consider me a great teammate and my friends consider me a great friend and that is important to me. I like to keep the energy of the team high and I will always put the needs of the team before my own.
I am VERY excited to have committed to Western Kentucky University for the Fall of 2016!!!!!!
