My name is Anna Richer class of 2024, I am a 5’11” OH/MH from Quincy, Michigan. I have played volleyball at the varsity level for 2 years and am now going into my senior year at Quincy High School. I was conference honorable mention my sophomore year and had the most blocks of the conference. My Junior year I was academic all-state. I’m in my 4th year of AAU volleyball and loving every minute of it. My vertical approach is 25 inches reaching 9 ft 6 inches and my standing vertical reach is 9 ft. My GPA is 3.73 and I’m also in dual enrollment through Kellogg Community College earning credits towards my degree.
I am a multi-sport athlete, qualifying for the state track 4 by 100 my freshman year. I also was the conference long jump champion that year. So not only can I jump, but I can also move quickly on the court. I am a very passionate player and create electricity and enthusiasm on the court. You always know I’m there, If I’m not communicating on the court with my team, I’m encouraging from the sideline. If you ask me who I am, I will say, “I’m the girl who digs deep when it’s 24/25 and will work with my team for every single point, including when it’s 0/0.”
My career goals are to complete a Business and Marketing Major, and to one day create my own marketing firm. In addition to playing volleyball, I want to make business connections, learn the skills to design ads and improve my already outgoing personality. Coming from a small town doesn’t mean I’m scared to go big, as I always say, “go big or go home.” I am willing to attend any size school with a great business and marketing program, but the key will be being able to play volleyball. Athletics are in my blood. I am determined to work the plan and plan to work hard. I know it takes lots of mental strength and grit to make it in the real world, but I plan to work it every step of the way.
