I have been playing volleyball since I was 12 years old. At first, I just thought of it as something to do in my offseason, at the end beginning of the eighth-grade season volleyball had become my number one. I have dreamed of playing at the collegiate level since the eighth grade. I know that playing in college is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could easily change my life.
I have strong jump float serves, I'm good at reading the ball defensively and I am coachable. I strive to be a good team leader on both my high school and club teams, I am constantly trying to better myself for the team. I strive to be one of the hardest-working players and one of the hardest-working recruits you will find.
I work year-round on my volleyball skills, participating in an AAU team, and several practices that my coaches spread around throughout the year. Along with that I also participate in track and run the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, high jump, and occasionally relays. I often weightlift to build strength and maintain / better my athleticism.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. Inducted into the National Honor Society. I have received several academic awards including maintaining above a 3.2 GPA during a sports season, and several honor rolls, I am class president and head of my school's SADD program. I also was recently accepted into the National Society of High School Scholars and I am very honored. I am also president of my schools National Honor Society!
I want to attend a college where I can push myself both athletically and academically. I am open to all options and want to play at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to others around me and make my family proud.
