I started out playing volleyball at nine years old. I have developed an extreme passion for the game. I switched to club volleyball when I was thirteen, at M1 volleyball (Minnesota One volleyball). I was a setter up to half way through my thirteens year, then played middle. I switched to outside hitter my 8th grade year on JV, and continued with it through my freshman year on varsity. This past season I contributed to the team as an all the way around setter/ right side. I am a very versatile player, who strives hard in any position on the court.
The strengths that I have as a player is my knowledge for the game and grit. As I have grown and am continuing to grow as an athlete, I have realized that a good athlete is someone who gives 100% everyday they walk on to the court. They take feed back and make changes instantly. They are fighting for their spot, and improving constantly. You will see that I have grown to be one of these competitive athletes.
Not only can I be a great teammate on and off the court but I bring forth an actual contribution to the teams I am on. I have a great vertical and and quick movement on the court. I am a very coach-able player who shows quality leadership, that can help out effectively in any position on the court.
I believe the best suiting college for me is one where I can prove myself on the court and academically. I want to be at the most competitive level possible at a school that I match up well with. I thrive for the opportunity to play at a college that I can work hard at, and make my supportive parents and coaches proud.
