My school volleyball team has never had as much success as we would have liked to in the past. This experience throughout the years has taught me that in order to succeed, you need to work hard and put the time in, which is what I intend to do.
I've been the starting all around player on my volleyball team, and then had to work hard to get playing time in softball. Those triumphs and road blocks have made me a well-rounded athlete.
Something that makes me different from other recruits is my ability to be positive both on and off the court and the perseverance I show on the court and in the classroom. In my school, I have a very athletic group of girls, so I have had to earn my spot on each team for all of my sports. We push each other to be better, while competing for positions on the court. In school, certain subjects have not always come easily to me so I have also had to work on maintaining good grades. I'm willing to put the time in for studying, homework, and projects to make sure I understand the subject matter, and showing success in each class. I'm also willing to put the time into volleyball, through weight-training, speed-training, club volleyball and summer leagues. Once I start something, I'm dedicated to doing my very best.
