For the past 8 years I have been learning and competing in increasingly higher levels of volleyball. As a senior on the Mahtomedi High School Varsity team, I was part of the most successful season in school history. This tremendous team experience even furthered my desire to continue my volleyball career at the collegiate level. As a 5´11”, class of 2022, middle hitter/blocker, I am eager and determined to continue playing the game I love while furthering my education. Playing volleyball has and continues to help me grow physically and mentally, both on and off the court. I am a hard-working student-athlete who is committed to the game of volleyball. I bring energy and positivity to my team, and I am a loyal teammate who plays with integrity and respect. I am very coachable and a highly versatile player who is dedicated, passionate and highly motivated. I hold a strong work ethic and am always looking to improve in all areas of the game. While I do hold a strong skill set primarily in the middle position, I also thrive in both the outside and right-side positions and I am always eager and ready to play the position that best supports and improves my team. I have spent countless hours outside of practice, working to be the very best player I can be and developing my volleyball skills. I have played sports since I can remember (primarily volleyball, lacrosse, and softball) and have learned to balance sports, family, and friends, and other extracurriculars all while maintaining high academic standards. I have learned to adjust, adapt, and find a successful balance between my sports, academics, family and friends, and my job. In addition to volleyball I plan to pursue a major in exercise science and kinesiology. As an AP and Honor student I hope to continue to achieve high academics throughout college and to challenge myself. Playing volleyball at the next level is a commitment that requires a hard-working, dedicated, passionate, and skillful student athlete. I believe that I would be a great asset to your team and program.
