I am a very hard worker and I put my best effort into everything I particapate in. I love volleyball for one important reason which is every play, every touch, every call makes a difference; the effort that each player puts into the game is reflected in the score and in the livliness of the match. I put my all into everything I do: classical piano, honors classes, Student Council, volunteering at Children's Hospital as well as a dinner time pianist at a local nursing home. I am coachable and I am a leader. I make mistakes, in volleyball and outside of it, and I make it a priority to learn from those mistakes. I promise that no matter where I am or who I will play for, I will try my hardest to become the best I can be, academically and as an athlete. Over the past 5 years of playing volleyball, I've played every position. I went from being a hitter to a defensive specialist to being setter currently. The most recent move to be a setter was sparked by my school team not having a setter. So I volunteered and trained in and out of practice and worked overtime to ensure I could play the position in which was needed. I now am the starting setter for my club team which is preparing and training me to do even better next school season. I loved being a DS, yet the need of my team always comes before my personal needs. I enjoy volleyball not just for the athletic oppurtunity that it is, but also for the leadership experince which is gives me. I've grown not only as an athlete, but as a person as well because of my volleyball carrier. Thank you for your consideration.
