Hi,I'm Lauren Houg. I am 5'8" and a Junior at Wayzata High School. I have been the starting libero for Wayzata for two years. Each of the past two years I have received All-Conference Awards. My sophomore year (2010) we finished with a 30-3 record. That year we placed second in the Minnesota High School State Tournament. We also finished in first place at the Apple Valley Elite Invitational. I was named 2010 Libero of the Year in the state of Minnesota by the KJASR sports website. I was also voted team captain for my 2012 high school team. I played on the Northern Lights 15-1 club volleyball team. We placed second at the AAU national championships in the open division. The following week we placed second at the the JO national championships in the open division. I was also one of three liberos selected to the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Ft.Lauderdale,Florida. Our team finished 5th out of 24 teams in the High Performance Championships. I have a passion for playing volleyball. I believe my athletic ability would allow me to play volleyball at a variety of colleges. I have been a team player throughout my volleyball career. I am very excited to play volleyball in college.
