2012-13 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am a 5'11" middle hitter. I love having the opportunity to block and also hit from the middle. My team has always depended on my to block the ball, and I believe that I do that quite well. I aspire to become a nurse and spend my life helping others. However, I love playing sports. I absolutely enjoy volleyball and throwing shot put. My goal since I first started track was to just be the best that I could be and break the school record that had been held for 24 years. This year, as a junior, I broke that school record. My goal for volleyball was to of course be a great athlete and go to state. My team and I got to the Section Final, but lost in a five set match against our rival. I had a career high of 9 block kills which was a great note to end on even though we didn't go to state. I have a goal for my senior year to try my very best and to be a leader on and off the court. Helping others is what I enjoy most. Therefore, to be looked up to by younger classmen is inspiring.
