I started playing volleyball at a young age. I signed up to play at our local recreation center because they needed more players, little did I know I would fall in love with the sport. At around 10 years old, I started playing at two small clubs around the twin cities because I wanted to take volleyball to the next level. The following year is when I stepped into a higher level of play that sparked the idea of college volleyball. Though I loved the atmosphere of that club, I decided to play at Mizuno Northern Lights. This was and still is one of the best volleyball programs in the country, so I knew that this would be the place that could give me the most opportunities. I did everything possible to make the highest team. I spent the entire summer working as hard as possible to make the team I wanted, so I spent hours at camps, lessons, and even in my backyard to get as many touches imaginable. I had so many amazing coaches willing to teach me, and Im so incredibly grateful for the support I have been given from my family and friends, on and off the court.
I've loved the game of volleyball for as long as I can remember. It's been a part of my life for so long and I can't imagine not having the teammates, competition, and love for the game in my life. That is why I want to continue my volleyball career post high school. There are so many amazing experiences that I have now with volleyball, and to think that I could have those during college seems like the dream. I am a determined athlete with a drive to improve my game in every way possible. With my hard work and determination, hopefully I will be able to achieve these goals.
