Personal Statement

My favorite part about volleyball is that it is a team sport. I enjoy working together in order to solve problems, and I enjoy working with a team to win games. Being a leader on any team I'm on is very important to me, and I love pushing myself and my teammates to victory. I also like to show leadership through my academics, whether it be challenging myself with a high level class, or working with a group and getting an A on a big project. I take my academics very seriously, and they are my first priority. But, I am fully prepared to make volleyball my close second. Challenging myself in school, and on the court is how I stay constantly motivated to be the best I can be. I'm very excited to see what options I have, and make the best decision regarding my academics and athletics.

Academic Accomplishments

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. My Honors classes include: -Honors US History (Weighted Grade) -Honors Biology -Sem 1 Honors Chemistry -ALAR/P 1 (Advanced Language Arts Research and Presentation, Weighted Grade) -ALAR/P 2 (Advanced Language Arts Research and Presentation, Weighted Grade) ALAR/P 1 is the 9th grade language arts class a level above 9th honors, and consists of the full 9th honors curriculum, plus a full year research project, which comes with a full year of its own curriculum. This class has been one of my favorite class experiences so far, as it stems from a student-based research question. At the end of the course, a 30 minute presentation arguing a thesis, backed up by around 80 hours of research, is presented to a panel of judges. ALAR/P 2 is a second year of this course, diving into 11th Honors LA Curriculum and furthering the quality of research and argument, as well as presentational skills.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
