2020 Highlights Personal Statement
I know that I would make a great team member of a college volleyball team. I have had many years of experience playing at a competitive level. Most importantly, I have learned what it means to be a good teammate and that success comes from working together. A good teammate includes someone with the ability to pick others up, support others, and to not get frustrated when things get tough. I have learned these qualities from being a captain on my volleyball and soccer teams.
Something that is unique to me is my ability to adapt to adversity. During my club experience, I had a situation when the coach left our program. I had to quickly find a new team and adapt to an entire new volleyball club. It was a successful year for me because I was able to adapt quickly to the change of coaching style.
I have learned the value of what it takes to sacrifice my time, be committed, be a better teammate, and be a better leader to the others who follow me. I am looking for a program that will fit me academically and athletically. I believe I have what it takes to have an impact on your program. I know I have what it takes to make it to the next level on a college team!
